150.
One Hundred and Fifty.
It doesn't really feel like a huge number.
And yet 150 is the number that stands between Kiss My Bundt Bakery's survival as a retail bakery or it's death.
All of a sudden, 150 feels like a very big number after all.
Last November 15-30, 2009, we held a "Save the Bakery Campaign" that we hoped would help raise a particular amount of money to help us stay open into the winter (specifically $12,500).
That campaign was successful in the sense that we had more sales in those two weeks than the previous five. Our fans REALLY came out to support us, bloggers blogged about it, tweeps tweeted, and people came and spent their hard earned money on our Bundt Cakes.
I was so appreciative. I am still appreciative.
Though I defined the campaign as a success, we only reached about 45% of our financial goal.
Now, with immense pressure from our property manager (imagine a "head-in-a-vise" kind of pressure) and more details that I just can't publically share, we need to sell at least 150 Big Ol Bundts by Jan 31st, 2010 to keep our doors open for real.
With 600 FB Fans and 1500 Twitter Followers, and thousands ofblog readers throughout the world, we should be able to find 150 supporters in the next 11 days.
With our Bundts featured on KTLA, FOX 11, The Today Show, Martha Stewart Radio, In Touch Magazine, and being in almost every Top 10 "Best Bakery" or "Best Cupcake" list since we opened in 2008 (And winning Best Cupcake on the Fox Hotlist in 2008 and being #2 in 2009!) we know we have an awesome product. You do too.
Helps us by helping yourself to delicious Bundt Cakes :)
